Rune's story was worth waiting for. I never thought the abuse I was sure he'd faced would be as awful as this, and yet have a believable (for vampires that is) conclusion.I liked this story for the way the storyline went.
I don't like easily detected errors. And I don't like 24 percent of a book I purchase to be the advertising of other books.

Since reading Love’s Deceit, the very first book in the Warrior Camp series, I have been waiting for Rune’s story. Rune feels that he has to have a Master and to always be feeling pain during sex in order to feel alive. He doesn’t have any friends. He is just a computer Geek, but he is the best computer Geek at the compound. When Helios shows up, he is undercover to investigate several problems including Rune. But he immediately finds himself attracted to Rune. But he isn’t a Master and that is what Rune thinks he wants. Helios has to find a way to get around Rune’s troubled past so that they can be together. It turns out that he enlists the help of the friends that Rune doesn’t realize that he has. Rune wants to believe that he can overcome his troubled/abusive past, but he has been programmed for so long, that it may be impossible for him to change. And what happens when Helios assignment is over? Why should Rune change when Helios will be gone in a few weeks?
Ms. Eire brings us another great story in an awesome series. She keeps you wanting and waiting for the next book in this series and all of the other series she writes. No matter what name she is writing under or which genre, she brings all the characters to life and plants them in your life for you to get to know. It is wonderful that she shareS her great talent with the rest of the world.
Rune's story! If you've been reading this series then you know how much Rune needed a story. I am so glad that he finally got his happy ending. But they sure had some humps to get over along the way. I loved seeing Rune blossom and grow into an amazing person that is happy with himself finally. This book is so good, it was worth the wait for it to come out. If you haven't read this book yet, I highly recommend that you do!
Like everyone else who has read this series, I have been waiting for what seems like FOREVER for Rune's story. I always knew there was more to him than what we have seen in the past books. Helios is sent to the Camp to find the leak. What he finds is much more. Rune's story crushes not only his friends hearts, but mine too. I love how everyone comes to Rune and helps him in all the different ways he needs help. This is my favorite book of this series to date!
This is a great story. Two people that weren't necessarily looking for love but found it in very unlikely people. Rune is damaged but he knows he needs something from someone but he's just not sure what or who it is. Helios is just there to do a job but he knows as soon as he sees Rune that he is the one who can help him. A very good story, drama without angst, extremely hot men and plenty of tender & hot sex.
While there was little advancement of the overall story line this is a great love story in the world of Warrior Camp and a great addition to the series.
If you have been reading this series you know Rune. I was so glad to see him get his story. Rune has shown up in previous stories. He is a computer geek and a "masochist" who wants to be hurt during sex. He meets Helios, who is undercover to find who is leaking information to the Zakasacs—the bad vampires. He sees that Rune is damaged and attempts to help him but only messes up more. Poor Rune has a terrible background—but he is a very strong character. Rune is deeply wounded and does not think that he has feelings—something caused by his early abuse. He does not want anyone to know what happened to him. Rune has had a hard time with connecting to others. Until he gets together with Helios, Rune thinks he is never meant for a happy life.
Helios is a Wyrok—the highest authority in the vampire world. Helios has never felt about anyone how he feels about Rune—but he is leaving after his assignment is done, right? I like that Helios is so powerful and ancient and he still makes the same mistakes in a relationship that everyone does. This story was also gave us a chance to see Alexander, Dimitri, Matteo, and Nate again. There is a little excitement and lots of loving on each other.
I'm really glad that someone saw the pain, and I'm really really glad that he has a mate now, I knew that there was something in his past. And I look forward to the next one in the series! Marilyn Barker
Hooray for Rune! I am do happy he got his story and found his man. Out of all the characters in this series, Rune was my secret favorite. His story? Does not disappoint. Rune, our damaged tech geek meets Helios, a warrior undercover investigating the Warrior camp. They meet. Sparks fly. We watch their journey to their HEA. I will be definitely reading this again!
